2008
As a part of Clipper’s one-company one-brand strategy, Clipper Elite Carriers is renamed Clipper Projects, and Clipper Wonsild Tankers is renamed Clipper Tankers. Together with Clipper Bulk they now form Clipper's three strategic core pillars.

2007
Together with Petrotank SA, Clipper establishes the joint venture PetroClipper SA, thus entering the Argentinian cabotage market.

Cnan Nord Algiers and Clipper Elite Carriers enter into a joint venture offering new regular sailings between the American continent and the Mediterranean.

Clipper invests in long-term partner, Dockendale. Dockendale handles technical management for a number of Clipper’s bulk carriers. The investment is done with a view to continuously securing skilled manning of vessels.

Clipper establishes Greystone Capital A/S, an investment company with the main purpose of investing in non-shipping related activities.

In a joint venture with Bornholmstrafikken, Clipper buys Scandlines Sydfynske A/S and at the same time takes a 30% shareholding in Mols-Linien.

Clipper expands with further involvement in luxury cruise vessels as well as investments in the Danish domestic ferry market.

2006
Clipper invests in Univan Ship Management, a well-established technical manager based in Hong Kong. The investment is done with a view to continuing to have access to qualified seagoing personnel - primarily on bulk carriers.

2004-2008 – Clipper places massive newbuilding orders in the tanker, dry bulk and multi-purpose segments.

2005
Clipper establishes Clipper Bulk (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. as regional headquarters for its Asian and Australasian bulker activities.

Clipper also acquires Wonsild & Son’s tanker activities and consolidates all its tanker activities into one strategic business unit - Clipper Wonsild Tankers.

Clipper expands its activities in the tanker segment by taking over all shares in Copenhagen Tankers A/S and Panamerican Tankers Inc.

Clipper relocates to the new office building Harbour House, Denmark.

Clipper enters the passenger vessel segment by acquiring two luxury cruise vessels.

2004
Clipper establishes Van-Clipper jointly with Vanship, Hong Kong, and acquires four VLCC vessels of 245,000/275,000 dwt.

2003
Clipper acquires Lasco Shipping and takes over a fleet of 22 vessels in the handysize, handymax and panamax segments. The same year Clipper acquires the remaining shares in VOC/VOC Steel Service and gains full control of the company.

Together with BBC KG, Leer, Clipper Elite Carriers (CEC) establishes the joint venture Asia Project Chartering Ltd., Singapore, representing the combined fleets in the Far Eastern hemisphere.

2002
Clipper takes a substantial shareholding in the tanker company Copenhagen Tankers A/S (est. 1993).

Clipper buys out the remaining shareholders in Crescent and takes full control of the company.

2001
Together with investors, Clipper acquires Panamerican Tankers (US) Inc., a company involved in transportation of chemical products between the US East Coast and The Caribbean.

Clipper establishes Clipper Bulk (UK) Ltd., focusing on the panamax segment.

2000
Together with VOPAK and Fortis Bank, Clipper establishes the company VOC/VOC Steel Services with offices in Stamford, USA and Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Clipper acquires a number of second hand bulkers from various owning entities during the same year.

1999
Together with Elite Rederi A/S, Clipper establishes Clipper Elite Carriers (CEC). The company focuses on the multi-purpose/heavy-lift segment with a fleet of 60 vessels and own offices in Copenhagen, Houston, Singapore and Melbourne.

1998
The company headquarters are relocated from Switzerland to Nassau, The Bahamas.

1997
Clipper establishes Clipper Group (Management) Ltd., Nassau, The Bahamas. Clipper acquires a major shareholding in Crescent. The company focuses on the tank and ferry segments.

1993
Clipper acquires nine 3,200 dwt MPP vessels from TK. The vessels are sold in 1995, but commercial management is maintained for a number of years. During the following two decades, the company orders an increasing number of newbuildings, in total amounting to around 200 vessels including options.

This is the first step in a strategic move from operator related activities to ship owner status.

1992
Together with the Polish shipping company Polska Zegluga Morska, Stettin, Clipper orders the company’s first two 17,000 dwt newbuildings in Poland.

1991
Torben G. Jensen and Jørgen Dannesboe, the founders of Armada Shipping Aps. (ASA), decides to split up after 19 years of partnership. The first Clipper company was established in 1972.

Mr. Torben G. Jensen continues to operate under the name of Clipper, acquiring the estate Slettenhus in Humlebæk, Denmark. Clipper furthermore operates out of its own offices in Houston (Texas), Sao Paolo (Brazil), Barranquilla (Colombia), Berne (Switzerland) and Vancouver (Canada). At this stage Clipper has ownership interests in six vessels.
